Most lawn companies sell sod. We sell lawns that last, and the difference is what happens before the first roll goes down.
Around Hamilton, that usually means dealing with clay: heavy, slow-draining and often compacted by construction equipment. Lay fresh sod straight onto it and you'll get a beautiful lawn for a few weeks. So on every job we check how the yard drains and how it slopes, loosen compacted ground and build a proper bed of soil, and we quote any grade correction up front. When water is the real problem, we install French drains before we lay the lawn.
Then we lay fresh-cut Kentucky Bluegrass, tight and staggered, roll it and leave you a watering plan for the weeks that follow. It's not complicated, but it's the part that gets skipped when a job is rushed.

Where Our Sod Comes From
We buy locally grown sod from premium Ontario sod farms, including Greenhorizons Sod Farms, and schedule each delivery so the sod is laid within 24–48 hours of cutting. The shorter the trip from field to yard, the better the sod establishes.
